Glenview is a small Illinois town located about 20 miles northwest of Chicago. Residents can drive into Chicago in less than 40 minutes or take advantage of the Amtrak train at Chicago Union Station and get into the city in 20 minutes. It is surrounded by other thriving communities like Morton Grove, Northfield, Mt. Prospect, and Prospect Heights.

It is a charming, town-like suburb in the northwest portion of the city with luxury and exclusive communities and high-end living amenities. Wildfire is an upscale steak and seafood restaurant in a warm, modern-day 1940s-style dinner club setting. Jibek Jolu is a beautifully designed eatery with hints of wood, glass, leather, and bronze and serves a wide range of cuisine. One of the best things to do in Glenview is explore the area. There are many beautiful parks and gardens that are a great place to spend a pleasant afternoon. The Glenview Park District encompasses more than 25 parks and facilities with activities and experiences. Tall Trees Park is a beautiful open space for leisure activities; it offers a playground, a basketball court, a baseball backstop, and is dog-friendly. Flick Outdoor Aquatic Center is a memberships-only park that offers a kiddie pool, a diving well, slides, and more. Glenview Park Golf Club is an 18-hole course with scenic hills and natural topography. It also has a clubhouse, golf shop, and quality rental equipment.

The Grove is a nationally and locally recognized nature preserve with more than 150 acres of land and diverse wildlife. The park has a beautiful gothic revival home, the Kennicott House, an educational center, and a blacksmith shop.


Schools

Glenview School District 34 is a National Blue Ribbon award-winner with four teachers who hold the prestigious Chicago-area Golden Apple Award. The public system serves kindergarten through eighth-grade students in Glenview. Glenbrook High School District 225 serves high school students in Glenview.
